What was better, A Clockwork Orange the book or the movie?

Did you believe that the movie was true to the book. Was the book more interesting or intriguing then the movie? What changed from the book to the movie? Did anyone else get the theme was about the government taking someones free will away by doing what they did to Alex? Did the movie present it better or did the book? Would you say there were flashbacks in this, when Alex hears the music and thinks of what he went through and wanted to kill himself because it made him sick, or is that called something else?
