2 questions, why cant jason varitek...?

catch a knuckleball? i mean hes like one of the best catcher in the league (top 3) and he cant catch for tim wakefield. its annoying cuz im going to the game wensday and tim wakefields pitching and tek is like my favorite player and i wont be able to see him because he cant catch a knuckleball and doug maribelli can? its weird. but question #2 i dont blame him for haveing trouble catching it but catching a knuckleball has to be really hard right? i mean if u never no where its gonna be then how does the catcher catch it? its always confused me. oh yea and since im going to the game i like love david ortiz no but is he gonna play this wensday or not? is he still gonna be on the DL? thanks
