Question about Fran Drescher's books? Are they appropriate...?

I was just wondering if Fran Drescher's books "Enter Whining" and "Cancer Schmancer" were appropriate for teenagers (girls) between the ages of 13-14? Any info on why or why not would help greatly. Also, any website links pertaining to reviews on the books would be appreciated. Thank You.
