How to write about a Revolution?

I have to write a chapter on the epic we are writing in English, my groups epic has to do with a man who wants to stop the building of the Panama c because it is killing off the slaves building and he lives in Panama, well he finds a talking gopher who tells him to go to a talking mole who takes him through the underworld to get him across the border into America. When he gets there he has to start a Revolution to get the Americans to believe that the slavery in building the river is wrong and he also has to convince the President, When he first gets to the US is when he tells the President his opinion and I have no idea how to write this so if you have any idea that would be very helpful!
