Why do some people in Government want Gonzales to resign?

Its not a matter of whether someone is nice or not and in this case it is whether he can follow the law of the land and the US Constitution as it is written. What the bottom line is his obeying the 2001 US Patriot Act and not take matters into his own hands. After all, WE can't take legal matters into our own hands, why should he and the FBI? A huge bad boy is director Mueller at the FBI. We have a government that maintains our freedoms that are guaranteed by the US Constitution. Yes, it seems that some in Washington want to peel away our rights and they have been doing it at an unprecedented level since 9/11 in the name of terrorism. The real problem is that we allowed them to do just that and we didn't even demand accountability!
