How do i get divorced?

Needs urgent help, i got married in 2007 in Chicago, husband was abusive and all that (now he is in prison) so i went back home to Jamaica, now i am in Virginia. Can i file divorce proceedings here, can i submit the doents here in this state @ a courthouse if i do the proceedings online? help i dont know what to do!?
