Granted asylee with a green card can go to the country of persecution?

Me and my hubby r greencard holders thru political asylum..he was the primary applicant..iam his dependent ..what r the risks of traveling to our country of persecution?can we travel with permission?not a travel doc..but particularly for our country of persecution
